Private investigator Lucas Douglas (Michael Weston), a personality inspired partly by Shore's appreciate of The Rockford Files, seems in three episodes of Period 5. House initially hires Douglas to spy on Wilson, that has ended their friendship just after Volakis' Dying (the friendship is subsequently rekindled). House afterwards pays Douglas to co
